<p>A system and method for performing video based surveillance is disclosed. The system comprises one or more video surveillance cameras, a tracking module, a processing module, a correlation engine, a storage module, a digital video recorder and a user interface. The method obtains at least one of: one or more high resolution video frames, one or more low resolution video frames of an activity. One or more interested objects in the activity are detected and tracked from the one or more low resolution video frames whereas high resolution data of one or more interested objects are extracted from the one or more high resolution video frames. The method further correlates high resolution data of one or more interested objects with the one or more low resolution video frames of the activity. FIG.1</p> |
