A wheel hub motor. A plurality of annularly distributed magnetic steels and at least two Hall elements are arranged in the housing of the wheel hub. The magnetic steels rotate synchronously with a rotating base, and the rotating base rotates synchronously with a crank chain wheel; the hall elements are fixed near the magnetic steels, and the signal output ends of the Hall elements are connected to a controller of the wheel hub motor. After the wheel hub motor is mounted on a bicycle, the controller controls the wheel hub motor to work when the bicycle rider pedals the bicycle forwards, controls the wheel hub motor to stop working when the bicycle rider stops pedaling the bicycle, and controls the wheel hub motor to stop working when the bicycle rider pedals the bicycle backwards. Thus, in an electric bicycle equipped with the wheel hub motor, there is no need of mounting a power assisting sensor between a bicycle frame and a crank chain wheel, facilitating the mounting of the entire bicycle and also avoiding the situation where the power assisting sensor is damaged due to the exposure thereof to exterior environments. |
