PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is difficult for conventional assist devices to respond a request from a person who has difficulty to keep gripping things because the conventional devices mostly are large or have structures not contributing to the gripping force giving even though various assist devices and assist chopsticks have been proposed for giving, enhancing, and maintaining gripping force for an older person whose force of fingers is weakened or a person having dysfunction of a hand.SOLUTION: An assist device comprises: a tracking body; a one-way clutch part; and a clutch release part. The assist device is capable of maintaining a gripping state by only an instantaneous force when pinching a thing, and releasing the thing pinched. |
