<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel manufacturing method of mesoporous carbon capable of providing a high capacity electrical double layer capacitor, and a manufacturing method of a carbon-based electrode for electrical double layer capacitor.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of mesoporous carbon includes (A) a process of preparing MCM-48, which is mesoporous carbon by adding a transition metal catalyst for promoting a carbonization reaction to an alkali solution containing a surfactant, then adding Si(OCH)as a raw material for mesoporous carbon, heating for hydrolysis to silicate followed by dehydration condensation to silica and then firing to remove the surfactant, (B-1) a process of performing prepolymerization by impregnating MCM-48 into a mixture solution of furfuryl alcohol and acid and standing, (B-2) a process of performing carbonization by heating after prepolymerization to manufacture a silica-carbon composite and (B-3) a process of removing MCM-48 from the silica-carbon composite to manufacture CMK-1 which is mesoporous carbon.</p> |
