The invention relates to a vehicle for transporting thermally sensitive products in a refrigerated truck, of the type in which technology using a refrigerating unit with mechanical steam compression operating in a closed loop provides the cold required to maintain the temperature of the products at a required level, characterised in that the vehicle is provided with: a reserve (5) of a cryogenic fluid such as liquid CO2 or liquid nitrogen; a cryogenic evaporator (6) that is in fluid communication with said reserve such as to be able to receive said cryogenic fluid; an exchanger/desuperheater (7), located in the mechanical cold loop between the compressor and the condenser, said exchanger/desuperheater being capable of performing a heat exchange between the refrigerant obtained at the outlet of the compressor, prior to the arrival thereof in the condenser, and said cryogenic fluid at the outlet of the cryogenic evaporator. |
