Disclosed are a separator, a lithium battery including the same, a method for manufacturing the separator, and a method for manufacturing the lithium battery. The separator includes an organic-inorganic hybrid coating layer which is arranged on at least one side of a porous material and a pattern coating layer which is arranged on the surface of the organic-inorganic hybrid coating layer. The pattern coating layer is a coating layer formed by regularly and separately arranging a pattern whose average diameter is 0.lmm or less.
