A spiral type elevator (200) using a ball driving structure according to an embodiment of the present invention transports passengers or loads. The spiral type elevator comprises; a cage (210) including a driving motor (215) which generates driving force on the top and bottom when passengers board; first and second shafts (245a, 245b) which deliver the power of the driving motor to both sides; first and second bevel gears (240a, 240b) which are installed on the end of the first and second shafts (245a, 245b) and deliver the power vertically; first and second ba;; driving shafts (258a, 258b) which are installed on the first and second bevel gears (240a, 240b) vertically; first to fourth ball driving units (250A, 250B, 250C, 250D) which are installed on the upper and lower sides of each of the shafts to be moved up and down along the first and second ball driving shafts (258a, 258b); and first and second ball driving guides (230A, 230B) which are installed on the outer side of the first and second ball driving shafts (258a, 258b), and vertically moves the cage by guiding the driving of the first to the fourth ball driving unit (250A, 250B, 250C, 250D). According to the present invention, an installation space of an elevator can be reduced dramatically by installing a driving motor on a cage in which passengers load without a separate a machine room. |
