PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of certainly inspecting a connection structure in which adjacent optical fiber cores are intermittently interconnected in the longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: An inspection device 2 includes: a roller 25 for moving an optical fiber core in a longitudinally bent state; a sensor 26 for detecting the presence/absence of a non-connection part near the roller 25; and a determination unit 28 for determining whether the non-connection part is formed appropriately on the basis of the detection result of the sensor 26. The outer shape of the roller 25 has a rotor shape in which the radius increases in one direction with respect to the tape width direction of the optical fiber core when the optical fiber core is moved. The inspection device 2 opens the non-connection part by moving the optical fiber core on the roller 25 in a tensile force applied state.
