In this synchronized audio playback system (10), master-device functionality, control-device functionality, and playback-device functionality are allocated to various apparatuses connected to a network. A smartphone (SP), which acts as a master device, creates a synchronized playback group (G1) on the basis of input from a user (U). Said smartphone (SP) applies settings so as to add, to said synchronized playback group (G1), audio devices (31, 32) that the user (U) has specified from among a plurality of audio devices (31 through 33). The smartphone (SP) also sets one (31) of the added audio devices (31, 32) as a control device. The audio device (31) set as a control device controls synchronized playback by the audio devices (32) in the synchronized playback group (G1). |
