The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing medical supplies information. The apparatus comprises a storage body and a medical supplies information processing unit detachably formed or combined with the storage body. The medical supplies information processing unit comprises an input unit to input information of stored medical supplies; an output unit to output medical supplies information including the effectiveness of the stored medical supplies, due dates, and directions by selectively combining a display and a voice output; a communication unit to receive or request the medical supplies information; a storage unit to store the medical supplies information; and a control unit to perform the transceiving control of the communication unit, the output control of the output unit, and a process corresponding to the medical information input through the input unit. According to the present invention, the method can effectively manage the medical supplies, can teach a right usage method in using the medical supplies, and can prevent accidents with the misuse of the medical supplies.
