The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for skin regeneration, wrinkle improvement, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, or skin whitening. According to the present invention, the trans-caryophyllene increases the total amount of collagen of fibroblasts in the skin. Therefore, the trans-caryophyllene provides effects of skin regeneration and wrinkles improvement. The trans-caryophyllene provides anti-oxidant effect by inhibiting free radical generation, anti-inflammation effect by inhibiting nitrogen oxide (NO) generation, and skin whitening effect by reducing the total amount of melanin. Therefore, the trans-caryophyllene can be used for a pharmaceutical composition, an external skin application, a cosmetic composition or health food. |
