<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure which prevents an insulator disposed between a cover plate and a terminal from being damaged by heat occurring during welding in a sealed battery having a battery case obtained by welding an outer peripheral edge part of the cover plate to an opening part of an outer can.SOLUTION: A sealed battery (1) includes: a battery case (2); a negative electrode terminal (22); and an insulation packing (21) disposed between the battery case (2) and the negative electrode terminal (22). The battery case (2) includes: an outer can (10) having at least one opening part (16); and a cover plate (20) which is welded to the opening part (16) at an outer peripheral edge part (20c) covering the opening part (16) of the outer can (10). The negative electrode terminal (22) penetrates through the cover plate (20) and is electrically connected with an electrode body (30). In the cover plate (20), a groove part (20b) is provided between a welding part (17) and the insulation packing (21).</p> |
