a display control unit configured to control a display unit to display a plurality of items; a changing unit configured to change the plurality of items displayed on the display unit to a plurality of other items without changing a selected item included among the plurality of items; and a control unit configured to perform control to change, when a first operation for changing a selected item to an adjacent item is performed in a first state where a first item is selected and a plurality of items including the first item are displayed, the selected item from the first item to a second item that is included among the plurality of items being displayed and is adjacent to the first item, and when the first operation is performed in a second state where the first item is selected and a plurality of items that do not include the first item are displayed, the selected item from the first item to a third item that is not adjacent to the first item and is included among the plurality of items being displayed.
