Provided in an aspect of the present invention is a secondary battery having increased capacity of a cell and improved safety by maximizing coated amount of an active material on a current collector. A secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly arranged a first electrode and a second electrode on both sides of a separator, and formed by winding the separator, the first electrode, and the second electrode; a case embedding the electrode assembly; a can assembly coupled with an opening of the case; and a lead tab connecting the first electrode with the cap assembly, wherein the first electrode includes a coating part coated with active material on both sides of a current collector, a first uncoated part set on one side of the coating part to be connected with the lead tab between the first end and the second end, and a second uncoated part set on one side of the coating part on one surface of the first end. |
