A neck rest (1) for supporting the neck and head of a human being, comprising a right and a left elongate support member (2, 3), and a collapsible intermediate section (4) interconnecting the support members (2, 3). The support members (2, 3) and the intermediate section (4) are sufficiently bendable to conform to the natural contour of the left and right neck and head portions of the human being. The neck rest (1) further comprises a holding mechanism for maintaining the support members (2, 3) in bent position. The holding mechanism may be adapted to be in a locked state and in a released state. |
