PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an image projection device that is capable of treating with an effect of ghost light arising from a free-form curved lens.SOLUTION: An image projection device comprises: an image display element 10; a dioptric system having a free-form curved lens 122; a reflection optical system that has at least a concave surface mirror 14; and a light shield member 160 that has an aperture part AP. In a ray flux cross section after the concave surface mirror 14 of an entire ray flux which is a group of all beams of light taken in the dioptric optical system from the image display element and having an image formed in a screen, let a direction corresponding to a long-side direction of a projection image be denoted as an A-direction, and a direction corresponding to a short-side direction thereof be denoted as a B-direction, the light shield member 160 is configured to have the aperture part AP disposed so that the aperture part AP is positioned between a PA position at which a ray flux width of the entire ray flux in the A-direction is the narrowest and a PB position at which the ray flux width of the entire ray flux in the B-direction is the narrowest. |
