1. A method for stored value transactions in a gaming or amusement environment, the method comprising:
(A) providing to a patron, by an operator associated with the gaming or amusement environment, a player's card account comprising a stored value component, said account managed by a player's card account host management system; (B) providing to the patron, by the operator, a player's card account card, said card enabling the patron to access funds associated with the stored value component in said player's card account; (C) providing, by the operator, a secured first computing device in secured electronic communication with the player's card account host management system and in further secured electronic communication with a secured banking network associated with a financial account of the patron, said financial account different from the player's card account and identified by a financial account card different from the player's card account card; (D) providing, by the operator, a secured electronic transaction terminal certified for use in electronic funds transactions and in exclusive secured communication with the secured first computing device; and (E) permitting the patron, by the operator, to electronically transfer funds from the patron's financial account to the patron's player's card account by (i) initiating a funds transfer request in a desired amount using the secured electronic transaction terminal, said request being securely communicated to the secured banking network via the secured first computing device, (ii) receiving a funds transfer authorization from the secured banking network at the secured first computing device and securely communicating said funds transfer authorization to the player's card account host management system, and (iii) crediting funds to the patron's player's card account by the player's card account host management system. |
