PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact light sensor used for turning on and off a light of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A light sensor 10 includes a calculation determination circuit section 13 for determining whether or not the vehicle is positioned under a shield shielding the sunlight on the basis of an upward light signal input from an upward light receiving element 11, and a forward light signal input from a forward light receiving element 12. The calculation determination circuit section 13 outputs a determination signal including the type of a shield. Further, the light sensor 10 includes a communication output circuit section 14 for inputting the upward light signal from the upward light receiving element 11, and inputting the determination signal from the calculation determination circuit section 13. The communication output circuit section 14 generates an output signal with a flag indicating the type of the shield raised, and outputs the output signal to a control ECU20 for controlling the turn-on and turn-off of a light 32 of the vehicle. |
