PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blind which is rolled up or pulled down by lift cords and is capable of securing safety in the case where the blind is caught between the lift cords in an upper part of an equalizer.SOLUTION: A shading device includes: a support member that is fixed on a building; a plurality of tension cords drooped from the support member; a cord equalizer that bundles the plurality of tension cords; and a moving member that is moved by pulling the tension cords and adjusts a shading state in an opening of the building between an open state and a closed state. The cord equalizer is held with respect to the tension cords normally and when a downward load exceeding a threshold value is applied to the cord equalizer, the cord equalizer is relatively moved along the tension cords.
