PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow each cell to be supplied with pump light and probe light even without providing each of the plurality of cells with a light source.SOLUTION: A cell layer 12 comprises a plurality of cells containing an atom of alkali metal therein. An optical distribution layer 11 branches incident pump light with a branching coupler 111A, and guides the branched pump light with optical fibers 112 so as to irradiate each cell with the branched pump light. The optical distribution layer 11 branches incident probe light with a branching coupler 111B and guides the branched probe light with the optical fibers 112 so as to irradiate each cell with the branched probe light. The pump light and the probe light guided with the optical fibers 112 are radiated to each cell, and the pump light crosses the probe light in the cells. |
