The present invention is an electrolytic capacitor wherein: the electrolytic capacitor is provided with an anode body, a dielectric layer formed upon the anode body, and a cathode body; the electrolytic capacitor contains organic macromolecules adhered to the dielectric layer between the dielectric layer and the cathode body; the organic macromolecules include one or more groups selected from the group consisting of acidic groups and residues of the acidic groups; and at least one of the one or more groups is incorporated into the dielectric layer. As a result, it is possible to provide an electrolytic capacitor in which leak current in the dielectric layer is suppressed.
