<p>The embodiment of the present invention provides a method and apparatus for determining entry into wifi coverage. A first measurement report of a cell reported by a first mobile terminal is received; on the basis of the first measurement report of the cell, each feature information in a feature information data base is matched; and on the basis of the matching result, whether the first mobile terminal enters the Wireless Fidelity (wifi) coverage is determined. The method need not to add new module to network device or mobile terminal, saves the construction cost of network system, and avoids the problem of high power consumption caused by uninterruptible working of wifi detection function module of the mobile terminal.</p> |
