摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust particulate concentration detecting device which is suitable to detect the concentration of exhaust particulates exhausted from a diesel engine, for accurately detecting the concentration of PMs in exhaust gas by using a PM sensor which issues an output value appropriate to the attachment amount of the PMs.SOLUTION: A PM sensor 22, including a sensor element 30 which issues an output value appropriate to the attachment amount of the PMs, is provided in an exhaust passage 16. The PM sensor 22 further includes a heater 42 for causing the disappearance of the PMs attached to the sensor element 30. An ECU 24 calculates a concentration detection value for the PMs on the basis of an output rising time (T, T, T) taken after the PM sensor 22 is reset with the disappearance of the PMs but before the output value rises. The concentration detection value is calculated to be a greater value as the output rising time (T, T, T) is shorter.</p>
