<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method capable of enhancing airtightness and water-tightness of a joint part.SOLUTION: A joining method includes: a first tab material joining step in which a butted part of a metal member 1 and a first tab material 2 is subjected to friction agitation; a second tab material joining step in which a butted part of the metal member 1 and a second tab material 3 is subjected to friction agitation; a first main joining step in which a butted part J is subjected to friction agitation from a front surface side of the metal members 1 and 1; and a second main joining step in which the butted part J is subjected to friction agitation from a back surface side of the metal members 1 and 1. In the first tab material joining step and the second tab material joining step, when the metal member 1 is disposed on the right side in a travel direction of a rotation tool A for temporary joining, the rotation tool A for temporary joining is rotated in a clockwise direction, and when the metal member 1 is disposed on the left side in the travel direction of the rotation tool A for temporary joining, the rotation tool A for the temporary joining is rotated in an anticlockwise direction.</p> |
