<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce data loss of the contents of an instruction for edition even when recording of the instruction is interrupted in the case where a user issues the instruction for edition to recording video data.SOLUTION: A recording device creates reproduction control information for specifying, as a reproducing interval, a position corresponding to an instruction of interval start to a position corresponding to an instruction of interval end in video data in recording depending on the instruction of interval start and the instruction of interval end, which are input during recording of video data to a storage medium. The recording device controls recording of the video data to be continued by interrupting recording of the file and creating a new file in response to the fact that a file size including the recording video data reaches a predetermined value during recording of the video data, and records the reproduction control information to the storage medium in response to the timing of newly creating the file.</p> |
