<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor using a magnetoresistive element, which has a wider detectable magnetic field range (dynamic range).SOLUTION: A magnetoresistive element 200 of the magnetic sensor has: a ferromagnetic magnetization fixed layer 201 in which magnetization is fixed in a first direction; a nonmagnetic intermediate layer 202 which is laminated on the magnetization fixed layer 201; and a soft magnetic magnetization free layer 203 which is laminated on the intermediate layer 202 and whose magnetization direction can be changed to a direction different from the first direction. The magnetization free layer 203 has at least one ferromagnetic layer 213, and the thickness of the ferromagnetic layer 213 is 20 to 200 nm inclusive.</p> |
