PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-air cell from which hydrogen gas can be easily discharged.SOLUTION: A metal-air cell of the present invention includes: an electrolyte tank for storing an electrolyte; a fuel electrode that is provided inside the electrolyte tank and serves as an anode; an air electrode serving as a cathode; an electrode insertion port for inserting the fuel electrode into the electrolyte tank; and a port edge portion around the electrode insertion port. The fuel electrode or the port edge portion has a recessed part or a through hole. The recessed part or the through hole is provided such that a liquid level of the electrolyte is formed within the recessed part or within the through hole.
