<p>SURGICAL FORCEPS Abstract A forceps (10) includes an end effector assembly (100) having first and second jaw members (110, 120) configured to grasp tissue therebetween and conduct energy through tissue grasped therebetween to treat tissue. An insulative tubular member (210) is movable relative to the end effector assembly (100) between a retracted position, wherein the insulative tubular member (210) is positioned proximally of the end effector assembly (100), and an extended position, wherein the insulative tubular member (210) is disposed about the end effector assembly (100). A monopolar member (200) is selectively deployable relative to the end effector assembly (100) from a first position to a second position, wherein, in the second position, a portion of the monopolar member (200) extends distally from the end effector assembly (100) and the insulative tubular member (210) for applying energy to tissue to treat tissue. ,- /J I T C/j C:)J C:) C C/Jj C:) C:)D C) LOj</p> |
