PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car speed limit device for assuring acceleration feeling up to reaching a limit car speed and stableness feeling during travel near the limit car speed.SOLUTION: A request torque is limited by a limit mode in which, when a vehicle exceeds a preset limit car speed, a request torque obtained based on car speed and accelerator open degree is set to be zero, and if the vehicle is below the limit car speed after reaching the limit car speed, a request torque is limited based on a gain that decreases according to car speed (S2→S4→S5).
