<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-scale ink jet printer easy to exchange a head unit in a short exchange time.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: an operation zone 8 for print processing, including an ink jet unit 2 having a plurality of nozzle heads 31; and a maintenance zone 7 for carrying in and out the ink jet unit 2. A carriage unit 17 for transferring the ink jet unit 2 is disposed between both zones 7 and 8. The ink jet unit 2 is loaded on the carriage unit 17 by a transfer unit 11 disposed in the maintenance zone 7. A position adjustment sensor 33 is provided in the operation zone 8. The ink jet unit 2 transferred to the operation zone is positioned to a predetermined print processing position by a position adjustment device 24, on the basis of a detection result of the position adjustment sensor 33.</p> |
