<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clear flicker regulation or the like, while reducing temperature ripple.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 200A is configured of a serial-parallel lightning circuit, and includes a power supply unit 210, heating elements 230, 240, temperature detection units 232, 242, a control unit 250, and triacs 260, 270, 280. The control unit 250 turns on the triac 280 and connects the heating element 230, 240 in series, to turn on the heating elements 230, 240 in series when turned on. Inrush current can be prevented when they are turned on, accordingly. The control unit 250 turns on the triacs 260, 270 and connects the heating elements 230, 240 in parallel, to control the lighting of at least one of the heating elements 230, 240 by an on/off pattern of a half-wave unit of a predetermined duty ratio. A pattern which can control the influence of flicker is used for the on/off pattern. Detailed power control is enabled, to reduce temperature ripple in fixation, accordingly.</p> |
