PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing of an imaging device having an optical path formed by a folded optical system and including a shake prevention mechanism, and improvement position detection accuracy for a shake-prevention optical element.SOLUTION: An imaging device including a shake prevention mechanism for driving a front lens closer to an object than a reflection element among a front lens group located close to the object in a folded optical system, so as to perform shake correction, comprises: a guide section guiding a moving frame holding the front lens with respect to a base member holding the reflection element so that the moving frame can move forward in a linear direction and rotate around a rotary shaft in a plane orthogonal to an optical axis passing through the forward lens; first and second actuators applying thrust forces in two crossing directions to the moving frame, respectively; and first and second sensors detecting positions of the moving frame in the respective thrust-force application directions. A distance from a crossing point between first and second planes that are parallel to the optical axis passing through the forward lens, that face to the thrust-force application directions of the respective actuators, and that pass through centers of the respective sensors to the rotary shaft of the guide section is set larger than a distance from the optical axis passing through the forward lens to the rotary shaft of the guide section. |
