A mobile terminal for displaying a virtual keyboard obtains the direction of incline in which the mobile terminal is tilted, and displays a virtual keyboard, transformed to correspond to the obtained direction of incline. The virtual keyboard comprises a plurality of virtual keyboard areas. The mobile terminal displays the virtual keyboard in such a manner that on the basis of the obtained direction of incline, at least one of the plurality of virtual keyboard areas is expanded, and the remaining unexpanded virtual keyboard areas are shrunk. |
