[Problem] To provide a seatbelt retractor that, when limiting a load on a seatbelt and absorbing energy, is capable of generating a stabler load than conventional art, and a seatbelt device equipped with the same. [Solution] A seatbelt retractor (3) that is equipped with a lock mechanism (60) that allows rotation of a spool (12) when not in operation, and blocks the rotation of the spool (12) in the seatbelt withdrawal direction when in operation, and is characterized by the inclusion of an energy absorption mechanism (20) that limits the load on the seatbelt (4), absorbs occupant energy, and contains: a first energy absorption member (21) that absorbs energy using the rotation difference between the spool (12) and the lock mechanism (60); and a second energy absorption member (24) that absorbs energy using the rotation difference between the spool (12) and a second energy transmission member (23), which fits with a first energy transmission member (22) attached to one edge side of the first energy absorption member (21). |
