A support device (10) for a steering bracket is provided with: a capsule support part (59) for the steering bracket supporting a steering column; a detachment capsule (11) for fixing the steering bracket to a vehicle-body-side member (21); resin members (12P); a shear pin (13D); and a cam mechanism (13A) having a weight part (13W) which, as a result of inertia caused by a primary impact, rotates around the shear pin (13D) at a centre thereof, moves towards a vehicle front, and extracts the shear pin (13D) from a bracket-side second hole (59I) in accordance with said rotation. |
