A device (1) for attaching a joining element (2) to a portion of a component is proposed for a mould with a die unit and a punch (5), which can be moved linearly on a working axis of the mould (1) from a withdrawn position on the mould (1) towards the die unit and back again, wherein the working axis coincides with a longitudinal axis of the punch, and wherein, during its movement towards the die unit, the punch (5) takes along with it in the direction of the portion of the component a joining element (2) that is arranged in front of the mould (1) in an advanced position. According to the invention, a positioning portion that is in the region of the advanced position and is made to match a joining element (2) is formed in such a way that the joining element (2) is kept in the advanced position in a predetermined alignment in such a way that a longitudinal axis of the joining element (2) deviates spatially from the working axis. |
