<p>A fastener for mechanically joining conveyor belts comprises a set of two plates and two connecting members, each of the plates having two identical through openings for the connecting members, which through openings curve inwards from the inside surface of the plate, while the connecting members are in the form of a bolt, the head of which corresponds to a mounting seat in the upper plate; furthermore, each of the plates also has protuberances for attachment to the surface of the conveyor belt. In order to increase the rupture resistance of a joint between conveyor belts, both plates are flat and have cylindrical lugs at the ends thereof for joining the ends of the conveyor belt in the joint, wherein the diameter of the lugs is greater than the thickness of a plate, said plate also having shaped protuberances for attachment to the conveyor belt, which are situated around a circular portion and along the straight portions of the inside surface of the plate, wherein each of the plates is additionally provided with four holes in the circular portions thereof, said holes being arranged symmetrically between the shaped protuberances, and both through openings in the bottom plate are provided with a thread for a bolt.</p> |
