PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new amorphous form of 9,9-bis(4-(2- hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dimethylphenyl)fluorene which maintains constant quality and is excellent as a polymer raw material, and to provide a method for producing the amorphous form.SOLUTION: There can be provided an amorphous form of 9,9-bis(4-(2- hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dimethylphenyl)fluorene which can be produced by cooling and solidifying a molten liquid of 9,9-bis(4-(2- hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dimethylphenyl)fluorene, in addition to a well-known crystalline form of 9,9-bis(4-(2- hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dimethylphenyl)fluorene. |
