PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of positioning an image carrier relative to a transfer member with high accuracy and forming a quality image.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: process cartridges C111 through C114 which are detachably attached to an apparatus body; and an intermediate transfer unit 125 which is detachably attachable to the apparatus main body and includes an intermediate transfer belt 130 contacting to photoreceptor drums 111 through 114, and primary transfer rollers 115 through 118 for transferring toner images carried by the photoreceptor drums 111 through 114 onto an intermediate transfer belt 130. The apparatus includes a positioning frame 126 for positioning the process cartridges C111 through C114 and intermediate transfer unit 125 to the apparatus body, the positioning frame 126 positioning the photoreceptor drums 111 through 114 and the primary transfer rollers 115 through 118 in a belt rotation direction. |
