<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a braille display device capable of displaying many types of braille characters.SOLUTION: The braille display device includes: a first braille component 10 for forming a part of one braille character; a second braille component 20 for forming the other part of the one braille character; and a drive unit 30 for independently moving the first and second braille components 10 and 20. In each of the first and second braille components 10 and 20, a plurality of projections 11-14 forming the braille character are disposed at a predetermined interval. The first braille component 10 and second braille component 20 are driven so that a part of one braille character displayed on the basis of the input character information is formed.</p> |
