<p>Drainage Sites throughout suburban metropolitan areas have long been used to control the capture, retention and disposal of storm water from the streets and surrounding areas, many in prime residential and commercial locations primarily by absorption into the surrounding ground. By the leasing of the air space over these Drainage Sites and the granting of easements to utilize the ground over and under the site, this valuable land can be utilized and put to better use for domestic and commercial building development. The visual amenity will be improved and a positive income stream will be returned to the communities through the leasing of the sites from the owners (generally local councils and shires). The ground absorption nature of these sites and the continued use as a storm water catchment and disposal site is assured where needed.</p> |
