PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power conditioner having a protection function by which the occurrence of breakdown or failure of internal elements is prevented with a simple and inexpensive configuration even when erroneous connection occurs in installation work of a power generation system using an external DC power source, and an erroneous connection state is reported to allow secure repair.SOLUTION: An input terminal part 10 and an input end of a converter 11 are connected via a parallel circuit of a series circuit of a backflow prevention element 19 and a current limitation element 20 and opening/closing means 21, and a first voltage sensor 22 and a second voltage sensor 23 are provided. When external line connection to the input terminal part is terminated and a power source of the power conditioner is turned on, control means 17 controls the converter and an inverter 12 into an inoperative state without closing the opening/closing means and, if the absence of erroneous connection is determined on the basis of respective measurement values of the first voltage sensor and the second voltage sensor, closes the opening/closing means to perform such control that the converter and the inverter start respective conversion operations. |
