PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of suppressing power consumption while suppressing deterioration in display quality.SOLUTION: A display device 1 comprises power consumption calculation means 10, luminance adjustment means 11, and a controller 14. The power consumption calculation means 10 calculates power consumption on the basis of display data in which a previous frame and a display target frame are displayed in this order. The luminance adjustment means 11 calculates a luminance adjustment magnification of the display target frame on the basis of the power consumption of the previous frame calculated by the power consumption calculation means 10 and a decreasing function, calculates a luminance-adjusted display target frame on the basis of the display target frame and the luminance adjustment magnification, and determines whether the display target frame is brighter than the previous frame. A display panel 4 displays the display target frame whose luminance has been adjusted by the luminance adjustment means 11. When the luminance adjustment means 11 has determined that the display target frame is brighter than the previous frame, the controller 14 stops the light emission of the display panel 4 with respect to the display target frame. |
