METHOD FOR REMOVING LEAD FROM CEMENT FIRING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove lead efficiently from a cement firing device without exerting a bad influence on quality of cement while effectively utilizing lead-containing waste materials or the like.SOLUTION: A method for removing lead from the cement firing device comprises the steps of: extracting a part G1 of the combustion gas from a cement kiln exhaust gas flow passage extended from a kiln tail of a cement kiln 2 to a lowermost-stage cyclone; and recovering lead from the extracted combustion gas. A SO/CaO mass ratio of the cement clinker to be produced in the cement firing device is controlled to be 0.014 or lower. Since the SO/CaO mass ratio of the cement clinker is controlled to be 0.014 or lower, the volatilization rate of the lead in the cement kiln can be enhanced, the amount of the lead to be contained in the extracted combustion gas can be increased and the amount of the lead to be recovered from the combustion gas can also be increased.
