Provided is a pneumatic tire comprising a tread which is configured from a rubber composition that is capable of improving fuel consumption saving and wet grip performance in a balanced manner. The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire comprising a tread which is configured from a rubber composition containing a rubber component, silica and a specific silane coupling agent. A conjugated diene polymer which has a constituent unit based on a conjugated diene and a specific constituent unit, and which is obtained by modifying at least one end of a polymer with a specific compound is contained in an amount of 5% by mass or more per 100% by mass of the rubber component; and the silica is contained in an amount of 5-150 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
