In this electronic circuit breaker, a first changeover switch (5), the opening/closing timing of which is controlled by a control signal from a microcomputer (6), is connected in series between the following: a current transformer (1) that detects the current flowing through a main circuit; and a rectification circuit (2) that rectifies the secondary output from said current transformer (1). A signal outputted by the current transformer (1) and a test signal outputted from a test-signal output circuit (11) are inputted to the rectification circuit (2) in an alternating manner, providing this electronic circuit breaker with self-diagnostic functionality in which operation tests can be performed automatically and at regular intervals without interrupting the supply of power to a load. |
