METHOD FOR PRODUCING FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN PLATE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fiber-reinforced resin plate material having high rigidity without increasing the number of production steps.SOLUTION: A metallic members such as a square pipe 12 is disposed on at least a part of a sheet-shaped material 13 provided with a prepreg obtained by impregnating long fibers with a thermosetting resin. Both side ends of the sheet-shaped material 13 are wound around the square pipe 12 to cover the outer periphery of the square pipe 12 so that a preform 14 is produced. The preform is compression-molded in a metal mold to produce an FRP plate material having two square pipes 12 on one surface of a tabular FRP plate material body. A cavity of the metal mold is formed preliminarily into such a shape that the warped deformation of the FRP plate material is compensated, which deformation is caused by a difference between a linear expansion coefficient of the tabular FRP plate material body and that of the square pipe 12.
