PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter surge resistant insulation wire excellent in all of adhesive strength of a conductor and a resin layer coating the conductor, adhesive strength of an enamel layer and a film layer such as an extrusion coating resin layer, wear resistance, solvent resistance and characteristics maintaining the electrical insulation properties before and after processing and further, capable of maintaining excellent heat aging resistance over a long period, and to provide a method for production of the wire.SOLUTION: An inverter surge resistant insulation wire has at least one enamel printed layer and at least one extrusion coated resin layer outside on the outer periphery of a conductor having a rectangular cross section, and has an adhesion layer having a thickness of 2-20 μm between the enamel printed layer and the extrusion coated resin layer. Every extrusion coated resin layer on the adhesion layer comprises the same resin. The sectional shapes of the enamel printed layer and the extrusion coated resin layer in the cross section of the insulation wire are rectangular. In the rectangular sectional shape formed by the enamel printed layer and the extrusion coated resin layer surrounding the conductor in a sectional view, the thickness of the enamel printed layer is 60 μm or less and that of the extrusion coated resin layer is 200 μm or less in both of two sides of at least a pair of two sides of two pairs facing up and down or on the sides of the conductor. The resin of the enamel printed layer is polyamide-imide and that of the extrusion coated resin layer has a melting point of 300-370°C. The breakdown voltage of the insulation wire after heat treatment at 300°C for 168 hrs is 90% or more compared with that before heat treatment. |
