<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit, in a starter motor 1 in which an end face 2b of a yoke 2 is unpainted and is exposed to the air, paint floating of an outer peripheral surface 2a.SOLUTION: In the starter motor 1, the yoke 2 and an end frame 7 are axially opposed to form an axial gap 24, and the gap 24 is opened in the outer periphery of the starter motor 1. The surface of the yoke 2 is applied with a rust prevention treatment, and the outer peripheral surface 2a of the yoke 2 is painted with synthetic resin after the rust prevention treatment is applied. Further, the end face 2b forming the gap 24 is not painted with synthetic resin after the rust prevention treatment is applied. The rust prevention treatment applied to the surface of the yoke 2 is zinc alloy plating. With this, by using the zinc alloy plating as the rust prevention treatment applied to the yoke 2 before painting, rust of the plating for the rust prevention treatment can be suppressed significantly. Accordingly, paint floating at the outer peripheral surface 2a can be inhibited.</p> |
