1. An data storage device configured for use in a memory system including a host, the data storage device comprising:
a host controller that receives from the host a filtering command and a read command directed to desired data among big data stored in a secondary memory, wherein the secondary memory serves as a database storing the big data; an internal hardware filter disposed in the data storage device functionally adjacent to the secondary memory, and configured to receive first read data from the secondary memory in response to a first read command derived from the read command, and to filter the received first read data according to filtering condition data derived from the filtering command to generate first filtered data; and a memory controller configured to store the first filtered data generated by the internal hardware filter in a primary memory separate in the data storage device from the secondary memory, and thereafter to communicate the first filtered data stored in the primary memory to the host in response to the read command.
